Announcing the new CC26xBPA wireless modules

GT-tronics introduces ultra low power Bluetooth Smart and IoT wireless modules

Hong Kong SAR, China, March. 5, 2015  —  GT-tronics, a leader in wireless products and solutions, today announces the new CC26xBPA series of high-performance and ultra low power Bluetooth Smart Low Energy (BLE) and Zigbee RF modules targeted at Internet-of-Things (IoT), wearables, healthcare, and smart accessories applications.

The CC26xBPA modules are powered by SimpleLink wireless System-on-Chip (Soc) from Texas Instruments (TI) including CC2630, CC2640, and CC2650.  CC26xBPA-S, the shielded version in the series, will be certified against BQB, FCC, IC, and CE.  Taking full advantage of the latest innovations from TI, the CC26xBPA modules offer superior RF performance as the last-meter connectivity for IoT infrastructure, and boast 100dB+ link budget for BLE and Zigbee applications.

Besides exceptional RF performance, the CC26xBPA modules also consume only half of the power of the previous generation, the CC24xBPA BLE modules, which is very popular among industrial customers and consumer electronics companies for wireless smartphone accessories.  The ultra low power consumption of CC26xBPA makes it ideal for smart wearable, iBeacon, and last-meter connectivity of Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications.  The CC26xBPA modules will be supplemented by standard firmware, development kits, and DxCloud gateway connectivity for fast development and deployment of mobile accessories, iBeacons, smart wearables and IoT devices.  GT-tronics' DataExchanger solution will be available to the CC264BPA model.

The cost-competitive CC24xBPA RF modules starts at USD 3.90 each for 1,000-pieces quantity and will be available starting Q3, 2015.
